Harald Six

Harald lives in Eke near Gent, Belgium and studied nature and landscape management. He started planning this expedition at the age of 15, just having a few ideas and a great determination. He is working hard to get this expedition reality.
Headline: It is not dying a man should fear, but a man should fear never having lived at all.

Hey, my name is Harald Six and I have always dreamed about living a life in nature, seeing the different countries and cultures, mountains and deserts, seas and rivers, … But as I got older the reality of the ecological problems we face today seeped in and I felt I had to do something about them. I changed my studies from Math Economics to Nature and Landscape Management but as I saw there where so many people who just would not care about the problems we face I started planning Eco Expedition Eurasia. This journey is meant to open the eyes of people and get them to act for a better future.

Some say I am a philosopher, others say I am crazy, doing things they would never do, things they never even thought about doing. Like once on the Faroe Islands where I had become friends with the locals, but when I went to go sleeping on one of the many hills, they thought I was joking. I was wondering why they never did it and well, they just didn’t. In the 3 weeks I was there, they soon nicknamed me “the guy with balls of steal”, but my love for nature is not meant to be a show off nor a way to make myself more important.

Some people just don’t get the fact that this world is crying out to humanity to stop living like parasites! Through this expedition I try to convince people to start living healthier, more ecological and to convince others aswell. And in which way can you do this better than to live the life you say is right, showing them that it can be done differently and that this world isn’t lost yet. This I try to do during my journey through Eurasia.

Hello, First I would like to congratulate you for your blog and your whole project, you seem to be someone with strong convictions and lot of courage, I admire that. Based on your family name and the place you are living, I am wondering if you have a brother or a relative called Esben? We used to be good friends in Denmark, but unfortunately I have lost contact with him after a technical problem in my mail box. Now that I am living in Brussels I thought it would be nice to see him again if he is still in Belgium:) Do you have an email address I can use to contact him?
Thank you in advance and good luck with the rest of the training.
